The backlash was swift, as you can imagine. One Broward County, Florida school board member seems to have had no other intention than to pour gasoline on the flames last week after not only happily helping to chaperone a field trip to a local gay bar for elementary school students, but tweeting about it afterward. School board members around the country have been facing harsh scrutiny over the last year as pandemic protocols and controversial curricula are causing a stir among parents.
